Behavioral Health Manager

Provide behavior management services for individuals served in New Hope's residential programs.  Responsible for assessing adaptive and maladaptive behaviors, developing behavior support plans and program monitoring for assigned individuals.  Will provide general and program specific training for staff as it relates to behavioral management.  Serve as the agency's resource regarding current best practices in behavior management and recommend policies and procedures.

Assigned caseload will include new admissions, individuals requiring restrictive techniques and individuals needing behavioral management assistance from outside resources.  Will have responsibilities in program development and monitoring, staff development and agency involvement.


Required:  Bachelor's degree in applied behavioral analysis or human behavior

Preferred:  Master's degree in applied behavioral analysis


Required:  2 years direct experience working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities with at least 1 year of developing programs to increase adaptive skills and decrease maladaptive behaviors.

Preferred:  2 years of experience in a capacity directly responsible for development and implementation of behavioral programs and training of staff on programs.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:  Strong knowledge base and demonstrated skills in behavioral approaches, ability to remain current in behavioral literature and best practices, ability to comply with licensure regulations, work effectively as a team member.

We will be hiring client support staff to work with individuals with disabilities in our campus and community homes over the summer months.  These positions will be full-time, 32 hours per week (includes every other weekend).  At the end of summer, a $500 Bonus will be paid for these positions.

Client Support Staff


We have full-time, part-time and substitute hours available.   


Client Support Staff (CSS) provide assistance to adults with disabilities in either a campus or community-based setting. CSS provide assistance with daily activities such as personal care, community outings, leisure activities, meals, laundry, and cleaning. CSS are also responsible for data collection and documentation. In addition, CSS in our community homes administer medications. No prior experience is required; we provide paid classroom instruction and on the job training with an assigned mentor to help assure a successful career with New Hope.

Scheduling Options:

New Hope offers many scheduling options to help meet the needs of persons served and employees. In our community homes we offer longer shifts but fewer days which work well for commuters. Our community homes are located in Carroll and Glidden. Our campus homes are located in Carroll and offer more traditional shifts for those looking for a more traditional schedule.

Summary of Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic calculations
  • Campus home staff must be 16 years of age or older
  • Community home staff must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and be insurable under our agency's auto insurance, and also the ability to successfully complete the Medication Manager course after hire

Full-time 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Responsibilities include performing skilled maintenance of all vehicles, lawn and snow equipment and related equipment to ensure a high standard of performance.  Lawncare and landscaping duties.  Basic upkeep of the buildings and grounds.  

Must have or willing to obtain CDL, Class C with passenger endorsement.  

Looking for someone who is self motivated and able to work independently or with others.   Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs.    Will participate in a rotating on-call system.

Minimum Qualifications:  High School diploma or equivalent, technical training in vehicle repairs/lawn care and equipment operations.

Experience:  2 years of training in vehicle repairs, lawn care and equipment operations.  Knowledge in appliance, electrical, plumbing and HVAC repair.

The Manager of Retail Operations (MRO) is a full-time 40 hours per week position which oversees operations of the Bargain Shoppes located in Carroll, Coon Rapids, Jefferson and Perry.  In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of these stores, interpreting store reports and financial breakdowns, this position is also responsible for exploring new opportunities for revenue, developing sales opportunities and constructing strong marketing strategies for the Bargain Shoppes group as well as the individual stores.  This role will research, develop and open new retail outlets in new communities.  The MRO also advises Bargain Shoppe Managers regarding displays, store layout, rotation of inventory and appearance of stores.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree in related field such as retail management, marketing or business, or an equivalent amount of experience in a related field (3-5 years).  Two years progressive experience in retail and/or leadership is also desired.
