I initially began working at New Hope March, 2001, in a part-time position as a Client Support Staff. I eventually accepted full-time hours and was also promoted to Shift Leader in October, 2004. I really wanted to pursue a nursing degree so I began taking classes and became an LPN and then began subbing as an LPN for New Hope. I really wanted to become an RN so I decided to leave New Hope in June, 2007, to pursue my RN degree/license. Upon completion, I applied at New Hope and was hired as a Nurse Coordinator and have been working in that position since March, 09. I really enjoy working at New Hope and appreciate how the nursing department works together to help each other. My supervisor, Linda, is always helpful and has an “open door” policy and is very knowledgeable.
Working at New Hope gave me the needed experience that helped me in attaining my degree. Supervisors were very supportive when I decided I wanted to begin my nursing education and the flexibility in my schedule also helped.

I began working as a substitute for New Hope in July, 1994. The following month I accepted full-time hours working as a Client Support Staff and in October, 1995, became a Shift Leader. In July, 1996, I was promoted to Residential Supervisor and continued in that position until August, 2003. At that time I decided to explore other career options but decided to return to New Hope as a Residential Supervisor in December, 2004.I knew, at that time, New Hope was where I felt “called”, working with people. On February 16, 2008, I accepted the position of Campus Residential Director and continue in that position today. My story is a great example of the advancement opportunities New Hope offers and I am so appreciative of the Leadership Development offered at New Hope, I feel this has been instrumental in carrying out my leadership role. I am also excited about the opportunities for other current employees and their leadership development. I enjoy working with dedicated, supportive co-workers and my team of employees!
