Supported Community Living Home Residential ServicesNew Hope Village provides residential programs that are designed to meet individual needs. Services are developed on an individual basis. The goal of the programs is to enable each person to become as independent as possible and to assist each person in reaching his or her goals. Each person has their own room and is encouraged to enjoy hobbies, community shopping, and other activities. People may have their own decorations, radio/stereo, tv, or hobby collections. Families and friends are encouraged to visit and help arrange individual rooms. Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded (ICF/MR)New Hope Village currently serves 49 persons on-campus in four cottages. Services: We provide services for adults who are severely disabled, requiring 24 hour supervision and intensive training. In our home atmosphere, each client has their own room and the opportunity to obtain training to enhance independent living skills. Residential Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded (RCF/MR)New Hope Village currently serves 15 persons in the RCF/MR program. Services: We provide services for adults who are not able to live independently and who require 24 hour supervision. Individuals participate in many activities in their home, while receiving training in personal care, independent living skills, community involvement, and leisure activities.
Supported Community Living Services (SCL)New Hope Village currently serves 90 persons living in the community under these programs. Clients reside in 3, 4, and 5 bedroom homes in Carroll, Manning, and in Glidden. There are also several individual or small group sites rented directly by the individual or residing with the family. Services: The services are available from just a few hours per week up to 24 hours a day. More than 50% of individuals that New Hope serves in residential services are able to take advantage of the opportunity to live in the community, experience being a neighbor, enjoy greater participation in the daily responsibilities in their home, and enjoy more freedom in participating in community events and activities. Services provided by New Hope Village include:
New Hope Village also serves from 1 - 5 persons in individual apartments in Glidden, Carroll, and Manning under this program. Services: Services are provided to adults
with disabilities who have achieved a high level of independence and need only
minimal assistance to enable them to live in the community. A counselor
or other NHV backup staff may be called at any time for assistance or with
questions or concerns. Individuals enjoy making their own decisions,
doing their own shopping, meeting friends for social activities, and taking
care of their own personal needs in their own home. Services are available on a 24-hour basis or a drop-in basis to fit
